Select your device by serial number. Your bracelet should flash green. Then press Yes! If instead a dialog box appears with stuff about firmware see Troubleshooting 3, below.
Your bracelet is now paired with your phone. Select the bracelet by serial number in the Saved Devices menu to configure it.
Place the bracelet on the wrist. Place the wrist in the habit position. Hold still and press Calibrate. Enter a name for this position. The bracelet will now vibrate when the hand returns to that position. You can add additional positions by pressing Calibrate again.
To delete a position, press and hold the position name.
The bracelet only works while paired with a phone, so you must keep it within range of the phone in order to function. The Slightly Robot app must be running on your phone so if you turn your phone off and on again you'll have to reopen the app.
You should charge the bracelet overnight each night.
The bracelet vibrates whenever you leave your hand in a certain orientation for too long. You can adjust how long this is with the "Trigger time" value in settings.
Once the bracelet vibrates you should move your hand from the calibrated position. If you don't, the bracelet will vibrate again. This indicates that it is recording an event of pulling, picking, etc.
If the bracelet just vibrated and you need your hand to be in the position (you're eating, fixing your hair, etc.), enable Shake Sleep in the settings, then rotate your hand like you're turning a doorknob severaltimes. This will make the app sleep and stop vibrating for a while. If the bracelet hasn't vibrated but you want to put it to sleep you can press "Sleep" in the home screen of the app. You can control how long the app sleeps for by changing "Sleep time" in the settings.
Check that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
Double-check that the bracelet is plugged-in and has been charging for at least 5 minutes. It can't run without electricity.
Check that you're running the newest version of the app and that your phone's operating system is updated.
Download the MetaWear iPhone app and update the firmware. This does two things. Firstly it updates the firmware in case we forgot to before sending your bracelet. Secondly it performs a factory reset, even if you're already running the newest firmware. Please be careful that you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection so that the firmware update isn't interrupted. To avoid problems, do not connect to your bracelet with the MetaWear app and Slightly Robot app simultaneously.
Turn your phone off and on again, after updating your firmware.
The bracelet can only connect to one phone at a time, so if you're testing the bracelet on multiple phones, turn off phones you are not using while you try to establish a connection. An ongoing, often invisible, connection to one phone will prevent the bracelet from showing up on a new phone.
